Welcome to OVGA
At Ouse Valley Gymnastics Academy, our mission is to help children and young people develop confidence, strength, resilience and a lifelong love of movement.
We provide inclusive, friendly and fun coaching in a safe and supportive environment where every child is valued as an individual.
Whether your child is taking their first steps into gymnastics or looking to develop more advanced skills, our sessions are designed to help them progress at their own pace while enjoying the journey.
Our coaching philosophy focuses on developing strong foundations, excellent movement skills and confident children.
We believe gymnastics should be challenging, rewarding and, above all, enjoyable.
Gymnastics
Our sessions help develop balance, coordination, strength, flexibility and confidence through structured programmes suitable for all backgrounds and abilities.
Children will learn fundamental gymnastics skills on a variety of apparatus while developing body awareness, discipline and self-belief.
Whether your child wants to participate recreationally or progress towards more advanced skills, our experienced coaches will help them reach their potential.

Gymnastics
Traditional Gymnastics sessions, that work on British Gymnastics pathways in General Gymnastics, Men's Artistic Gymnastics and Women's Artistic.
These sessions follow a guided programme where gymnasts will work on their apparatus based skills, strength, technical ability, mobility and flexibility.
These will also be competitive pathways where gymnasts can take part in a range of different competitions.
Athlete
Development
Our Athlete Development and Strength & Conditioning Sessions are designed to compliment your child's chosen sport, not conflict with it.
We build a bespoke programme based on your child and work with you to build the strength, mobility and confidence required to excel in their chosen sport.
Free-G
Free-G is the official term British Gymnastics have adopted for Parkour, Free-Running and tricking style Gymnastics.
This uses a blend of traditional Gymnastics and Parkour, Tricking and Free-Running.
These sessions are ideal for children who want to take part in a structured, safe and fun adaptation of gymnastics without the pressure of competitions, strict requirements around flexibility and traditional gymnastics discipline.
Small Group Coaching
We deliberately run sessions with a maximum of eight children per class to ensure quality coaching and faster more consistent skill progression.

Quality Coaching
Our coaches are experienced and qualified British Gymnastics accredited professionals committed to safety, development, and positive encouragement.
